SVA PROGRAMS
Schmidt Vocal Competition
The Schmidt Vocal Competition has touched the lives of thousands of young students over the past two decades. High school sophomores, juniors, and seniors participate in these one-day events, hosted at 17 locations throughout the United States. Competition days include instructional master classes with some of today’s most renowned professionals. Competition winners earn cash prizes and additional scholarship opportunities.
Schmidt Vocal Institute
The Schmidt Vocal Institute is a two-week, immersive summer experience that takes place at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. High school singers from around the country enjoy lessons with esteemed professional artists, master classes with world-renowned performers, and dorm living with like-minded musicians.
Schmidt Vocal Education
Schmidt Vocal Education provides regional and online opportunities for singers to gain exposure to other singers and to gain valuable training from performers and music educators.
Schmidt Vocal Scholarships
Schmidt Vocal Scholarships offers merit and need-based scholarships to help worthy singers attend their chosen school and provides support and counseling to secure their college financing.
